This book is quite difficult to put in a couple sentences. It is probably one of the darkest yet intriguing books I have ever read. As a society, ignorance seems to be what we all fall prey to, but that is a trap. When reading this book, I felt pain for the stories depicted, and sadness. Yet, I also felt hope because through knowledge comes power. Being able to confidently identify evil can help with uncovering masks. Additionally, the author goes in deep, descriptive detail about evil, more so being what it is, where it may stem from, and how we can identify and even limit it. It is straightforward, and the author makes it simple to understand even though the topic is anything but. In addition, this is book is very psychological, and will have you questioning many things; however, if you are interested in reading a book that take your mind and flip upside down, definitely give Evils Origin a read.

You really cannot be a passive participant reading this book. Your mind is constantly thinking! This is not a casual, relaxing Sunday read for sure. The ideas presented and questions asked in this book are truly intense. So many thought-provoking questions to feed the readers' mind! One purpose of this book is to make the reader dig into their own mind and comprehend what actual evil means to them personally. The information in this book needs to be read in our current world more than we can imagine. Laursen does not just accept any published definition of evil: He questions it, studies it, dissects others' opinions and ideas and looks at the actual facts. Laursen provides intriguing studies, engaging true stories, and abundant quotes which lead to numerous validated backgrounds, mind-sets, desired outcomes and thought processes that make this an unparalleled novel . You will not be disappointed. Highly recommended!

I love this book so much. I enjoyed my time reading it. The ideas and the stories supporting the ideas are superb. Thank you for writing this kind of book that could open a lot of eyes. The content was easy to read, but you need to be prepared because the emotions of the book are quite heavy.

At first, I was still determining what to expect from this book based on its cover and had preconceived notions about the content. However, it turned out to be one of the best thought-provoking books I have read in a while; the book makes you think about everything. I've read some of the stories shared before, but not as much depth as I have in this book because of the excellent research the author has provided. It has many heavy stories, so it needs to be read with caution, but in the end, you understand and are made aware of the world we live in. The book highlights the 'evil' surrounding us with all the painful stories shared and you feel the passion of the author sharing these stories to bring awareness to it. I admire the author's honesty on the topic and the inspiration the book provides to stand up and not be afraid. If you are curious about this topic, I highly recommend this book. Overall, it was an exceptional, well-written book.

I found this book very informative as well as self-reflective. The author helps you look at yourself and your role in extinguishing the evil that is sometimes hidden but more everpresent than you could imagine. His format is in-depth as well as very easy to follow. The content has you thinking deeply with every page you turn and leaving you with ideas for change within yourself.
Although there is some tough content at times throughout this book, it's very worth the read. if you are interested in waking out of the slumber many of us find ourselves in as we turn a blind eye, I very much suggest reading this book. Evil's origin is for us who want to be informed and help diminish small and large evils alike.

Good people need to do something. Evil is real, it is here, and if we do not understand how to fight it, then it will be allowed to flourish.
I usually favor fiction over non-fiction for my pleasure reading, but from the very first page of this book I was hooked. The deeply personal narrative that Mr. Laursen invites us along pulled at my heart and made me see why this book is so very important. With the turn of every page, the poignancy was reinforced. As I read, I felt like clarity was brought on so many different levels to connections between various topics and thoughts that have struck chords with me throughout the years. This book is going to be instrumental for ending dangerous stigmas and providing life-changing insights into parenthood and mental health.
It is obvious that this book was meticulously researched, though Mr. Laursen encourages each reader to look into the subject on their own. He gives a clear starting point of sources and offers insight from his own perspective, but emphasizes that the purpose of his writing is to empower each individual to discover their own conviction. With a conversational tone, Mr. Laurson provides instructions for practical exercises and real-life illustrations, giving us the tools to prove his hypothesis and make the journey ourselves. As heavy as the subject matter is, I was pleasantly surprised with how approachable and readable the book turned out to be. The only drawback that I experienced was my editors eye picking up on multiple grammatical errors and typos or misspellings. Despite this, Evil's Origin, left me personally convicted and inspired, with hope of a brighter future for our world. I recommend this book to every human who would read it. Every good person needs to be armed with this knowledge and join the fight

This was such a thought provoking, well written book. Christian Laursen immerses you in a world of good and evil in an effort to unearth Evil's origins and caution the world on what needs to be done to fight it. He examines case after case of the evils in this world, in such a concise manner that it almost makes it easy to analyze the scenarios side by side. Instead of feeding the conclusions to you, he gives you the tools and allows you to come to your own opinions on exactly what the definition of Evil really is.
Some of the text was hard to read, in the sense that most people would rather turn a blind eye to evil, than have to face it and recognize that passivity is just as bad, Laursen reminds us of our duty to find the evils in this world and fight them, tooth and nail.
He examines the ideas that Evil is borne of environment, of genetics, and even that the origins of evil might have religious beginnings. He encouraged his readers to sit in the seats of the victims of real evil, and then rallies them to use the knowledge he has offered to do what they can to stop it.
It was an absolute pleasure to read, and I look forward to hearing more from Christian.

This book is on such an interesting topic. The authors opinions and research really shines a light on evils origins. It gave me insight and got me thinking without it being too overwhelming and confusing. This book is easy to read and makes you want to keep reading. Although this book is about evil, there is a lot of positivity and hope in it as well. There were a few typos that I couldnt help notice, but otherwise a very good read. I know for certain now that the definition of evil needs to be changed.
